A Few Good Finds and A Freebie
Happy Saturday everybody. Just wanted to share a few deals I came across. I've been wanting a nice easel for a very long time. Been eyeing the $300 one over at Lakeshore, but just couldn't bring myself to pay the price. Then my dear sweet friend Kim went to an inservice and received a brand new one...lucky girl She already had the same one and didn't need two, and guess who is getting her old one. Of course, I will be giving her some $$$ for it, but no where near 300 bucks. So excited. Now my hubby is going to add casters. Can't wait to get started on those anchor charts. I have been using a little tykes easel. I had to cut down the regular size easel pads to fit, so my anchor charts were smaller.
Then my next little find was this at Staples today.
Went in for ink cartridges and came out with a little more. My daughter and I always head straight for the clearance section. She needs notebooks and comp books for next year and all of these pretty ones were on clearance for a dollar. Then the box of labels you see in the back were laying there, but no price. Went to check out..did a price check and these puppies were 50 cents. He said do you still want them....OF COURSE. They are the tiny 1 3/4" size but are great for labeling little projects. 8,000 labels total in the box.
Then for my next little deal for you. I will be posting my shuttle craftivity soon (sorry it has taken so long) and wanted to have more fiction space book activities for you. So I have posted a writing activity for this little ol book... FREE! Just click on the picture below for your copy.
If you don't have a TPT account and need it emailed to you just let me know. Hope you enjoy it.

What a Way to Start Your Morning
I have always loved living in Florida. No snow days, sandals year round, beaches close by...what could be better? Well this is what flew over my house this morning.
It was perfect timing because we just finished up our Space Unit with a Space Shuttle Craftivity. I will have more posts and info about this soon.
Happy Tuesday!

A Teacher's Dream
I was fortunate enough to receive this amazing pencil sharpener from Classroom Friendly Supplies. I had read so many positive things on several blogs about this quiet little thing and I knew I had to try it. We were having so many problems with lead falling out of our pencils. I really thought it was the pencils until I read others were having the same problems using electric sharpeners. My kids were so excited because we were all so frustrated with leads falling out. Then it arrived!
When the kids saw it they gathered around the table bringing me pencils from all over the room. I guess my love of office supplies has rubbed off!! So the pencil sharpening began... I was in AWE! Look at the point on this guy. AMAZING!!!! Even better the leads DO NOT fall out. It's so sharp and it lasts so long.
When my daughter arrived in my classroom after school she sharpened this entire tub in less than 10 minutes.
I wasn't so sure about a "crank" style sharpener since my original antique crank literally takes the muscle power of the Incredible Hulk to get a semi sharp pencil. My entire team was so impressed we ordered one for each 1st grade teacher. Our fourth grade team was at recess one day and I told my daughter's teacher I had a pack of pencils for her, ready for FCAT. I had my daughter go inside and bring out my little blue baby. You should have seen all of these teachers huddled around the bench taking turns sharpening pencils. Too funny. Try it. You will love it. Classroom Friendly Supplies
